You've probably noticed that Kent has hijacked my blog. It has been great. He knows how to turn a phrase. He writes well - and edits whatever I write anyway! It was fun to speak with our families again on Skype. It was so good to see their faces, and they loved seeing Leena. At breakfast for the last two days we met a woman from Norway who had spent the last month trekking in the Himalayas. She was intrigued by Leena and called her our Indian Princess. She also called Leena our family mascot. We thought it was appropriate!

Today we spent the day sightseeing in Delhi. We went to many sights. We started the day driving by the Red Fort and Old Fort. Our driver didn't want us to get out, so he only let Kent out to get some pictures. Nate and I sat in the car.

Then we went to the Humayun's Tomb. We had one of those Indian experiences where we were just walking along and a guy who was sweeping just started talking to us telling us all about the tomb. Then he wanted us to pay him. We enjoyed learning about it. Nate found some puppies there and took the opportunity to try to convince Kent to let him have a puppy.
After that we went to Qutub Minar, the tallest monument in India. After that our driver introduced us to his "brother" who just happened to work in a handicrafts store. He wanted us to buy some things. It was a nice place and we bought Leena and Eliza matching skirts.

Our next stop was the Lotus Temple which was beautiful. Leena had fallen asleep by now, and slept through the whole thing. On the way back to the hotel we asked our driver to take us to McDonald's. It was so good to have french fries and a McChicken sandwich! We spent the rest of the day playing with Leena in the hotel and resting.
Leena continues getting more comfortable with us each day. She laughs with Nate, and already has him wrapped around her finger. He loves to play games with. She loves the bath, and I think Kent was her #1 for another 45 minutes tonight. We think she is very smart. She remembers games she plays with Nate, and then later in the day wants to play again. She can communicate remarkably well given that she doesn't speak English! We are enjoying doting on her.

It was such fun hearing from the kids in California. It sounds like they are having a blast with their cousins. Thanks for watching over them Hansen family. We love you all so much.

I love her dress! Lily's friend was over and saw your blog and asked if Leena was really a princess. That was funny. It was so fun to talk to you. I am so sorry that our microphone wasn't working. It was so fun to see her. I can't wait. The pictures are so neat. I keep thinking of how your life is changing right before our eyes. We are glad to know that you have her visa and you will be home soon. I love you all. xoxoM
